Great Barr Golf Academy offers a full range from coaching options from individual to group coaching, with 3 PGA Professionals we have the ability to offer coaching 7 days a week, using our state of the art Swing Studio equipped with TrackMan IO and Capto Putting Technology. We also have a two putting greens, a large chipping/pitching area, and 18 hole golf course to cover all aspects of your game.

Josh Harvey - Head Professional

Josh has over 10 years experience in the golf industry, and became a fully qualified PGA Professional in 2015, later becoming an Advanced PGA Professional in 2019. Josh is a Stack and Tilt Network Instructor and certified PING Custom Fitter. Josh plays golf competitively in Staffordshire PGA events, winning his first pro-am in 2018.

Aarian Matharu - PGA Assistant Professional

Aarian is PGA Trainee Assistant Professional who had as successful amateur career and has a had a good start to his professional career, with the main highlight of 2024 was finishing 2nd in the PGA Midlands Trainee Order of Merit. In 2025 Aarian won the PGA Midland Trainee Order of Merit and is looking to further his progression in 2026. Aarian looks after both adults and juniors for individual lessons and he runs a successful junior academy at Great Barr offering a wide range of programmes and lessons. Aarian offers individual coaching, group coaching and custom fitting.

Matt Giusa - PGA Professional

Matt is a full qualified PGA Professional after completing the PGA degree in 2023. Matt has played the game from the age of 8, and was a member of Walsall Golf Club, before moving on to Aston Wood Golf Club to start his PGA degree in 2020. Matt offers a wealth of experience from working at various golf clubs, and will be offering coaching here at GBGC after working as a golf coach at Aston Wood Golf Club, focusing on all aspects of the game. As well as offering a repair service which we are excited to announce. Matt has shown a keen eye for repairs and already looks after a few local golf professionals, with their work.
